Bumping Hughes Hall placed us behind Fitzwilliam on the last day, who were
something of an unknown quantity. We were prepared to be pushed from the
start by Hughes Hall, and for a long row to catch Fitz. In fact we produced
the best row of the week, easily held Hughes Hall at bay, and caught Fitz
on the gut. All in all a great week’s rowing, and a perfect example of the
old saying that a good boat goes up three, a lucky boat gets blades.
